Sinatra
Thank you Matt Puchlerz for sharing an overview of Sinatra with the group. Matt’s presentation and code can be downloaded from his GitHub Repository.
WindyCityRails
Thank you Matt Polito for your remix of the WindyCityRails 2008 video montage:
Do you need to create a simple web application? Do you think a big web framework may actually be too much for what you need? Matt, a freelancer in design and web development, will introduce Sinatra, a light-weight DSL used to quickly and easily create web applications. He will show how to use Sinatra in conjunction with Cucumber and/or RSpec and possibly DataMapper.
After the presentation, let’s loosen up and have an open discussion regarding the recent RailsConf in LasVegas. Whether or not you were able to attend, come to discuss what you learned or find out what you missed. Find out what’s in store for Rails 3 or discuss the tips for running a successful web startup. If you have some good notes from the conference, please come share them with the community.
Be sure to drop by Meetup.com for the exact location and to RSVP. See you there!
