If You're New to Ruby on Rails
Many people ask whether ChicagoRuby.org is appropriate for people new to Ruby and/or Rails. Our answer: Yes, and then some!
Something for Everyone
Every ChicagoRuby.org meeting features something for everyone, from Ruby Nuby through Master Jedi. Our members cover the entire spectrum. All of us benefit from stretching ourselves.
Bring Your Laptop
One way to benefit from the meetings: Bring your laptop. Every meeting is held in a room with WiFi and plenty of outlets, and we help each other with Rails problems. And after the meetings, we learn tips & tricks through informal “How do I do this?” encounters.
Klingons Allowed
Besides, even if you’re new to Ruby, you know something that someone else in the group can benefit from. It could be another programming language, business experience, or the proper conjugation of Klingon verbs. All of that is useful stuff. Especially the Klingon.
So… come on out to our next meeting. Dates and topics are always announced on the ChicagoRuby.org home page. See you there!
Regards,
The ChicagoRuby.org Organizers
